GROUP PROJECTS & TOURING EXHIBITIONS

Work with practitioners in other arts areas:

Shakespeare 2007/8
Catherine worked with a small group of artists in collaboration with Mad Alice Theatre Co in a project which aims to convey themes from Shakespeare’s work through visual and performance art in Cumbris and Durham.
Gossipgate Gallery, Alston, 2007– with play readings
Lamplight Centre, Stanley Summer, 2007 – with children’s art exhibits
Theatre by the Lake, Keswick February 2008 – with Schools Shakespeare Festival.

Other collaborative projects include collaboration with musical performers and composers and storytellers as well as periods as Resident Artist at Hexham Abbey 2005 and the Morpeth Gathering in 2007 and 2008. View more »

Printmaking
‘Bridging’ 2008
A group collaboration between Northumbrian and Australian printmakers resulted in a touring exhibition of small prints on the theme of Bridging, shown in veues in NE England and Brisbane, Australia

Gardens »
Recent exhibitions of garden paintings include "Gardens of Eden" - Cumbrian garden paintings, exhibitions at Durham Botanic Garden and in Yorkshire, and a group show themed around the Alnwick garden. Catherine has also taken part in Art in the Garden at Crook Hall Durham, and can run day workshops in garden painting. View more »
